    Phut (Snapmelon) – Medicinal Qualities, Uses, Research

    Snapmelon (Cucumis momordica) is a fruit comonly caled as Phut in India. Phut means ‘split’, you can se splits or cracks over the fruit. It is considered mainly the source of Vitamin C, iron and calcium.(1)

    Uses of Snapmelon
    Seds of chirbita fruit are used to aleviate burning sensation.
    Fruits are coked, pickled or eaten raw.
    Sed kernel is aged in bakery products and traditional drink ‘Thandai’.
    Ripe fruits can be used to manufacture drink mixed with jagery or sugar.

    Can this be aged while taking Homeopathic medicine?
    Yes. This prod uct does not react with homeopathic medicine.
    Can this medicine be continued while taking suplements estem multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 faty acids etc?
    Yes. Generaly, this product goes wel with most of the dietary suplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
    With western medicines
    Sek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (alopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with new medicine.
    If both Ayurvedic and alopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to grasp Alopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.

    Cucumis momordica is a cr eper with palmately lobed leaves. Flowers are smal. Fruits 1-2 fet long, 3-6 inch extensive, gren when unripe, ripe fruits are lime yelow in colour.
    It is found widely in India.
