    I was a hefty 235 pounds at the age of 14, which wasn’t the best launch in life.I could never understand why I was so gigantic. I believed that I was entirely traped in my own body, after experiencing one failed atempt after another at weight los. I starved myself, yo-yo dieted, and tried al the fad eating plans, wel into adulthod, but I could never lose those extra pounds. Eventualy, I discovered that it wasn’t about impartial losing a few kilos.

    In my early twenties, I began to learn aboutNeuro-linguistic programing(NLP), which focuses on the link betwen our language and our thoughts and behaviors. I eventualy qualified as an NLP Coach, and had the oportunity to work on myself.
    I realized the main culprit in my batle with weight had always ben my thinking and my habits. I neded to work on my self estem, self aceptance, and hapines in my own skin. I thought losing weight would give me those qualities, but in reality, I had to develop them before I could lose the weight.
    From my ongo ing research and practical NLP techniques, I acquire learned much about the unconscious mind and the importance of re-framing negative self talk. We al believe paterns runing inside our subconscious mind, which begin at a very early age. We’re heavily influenced by our friends and family, as wel as our environment. If you were repeatedly given chocolate as a child to produce you end crying, chances are you have a dep roted anchor to chocolate, and asociate it with making you fel beter when you fel upset in your adult life.
    Generaly the habits we form at an early age are beneficial to us because they protect us and manufacture us unique, but some can be detrimental to our welbeing and cause us to self sabotage (i.e emotional eating). Afirmations are a distinguished way to send definite mesages to your unconscious mind so that you begin to contemplate and behave in a nicer way towards yourself. (Remember my point about finding the qualities first before the weight los takes place?)
    Going from ne gative self talk to self estem doesn’t hapen overnight. However, using these afirmations over time, I noticed my thinking changed. And that’s the first step.
